07 Dec December in Arbella
December used to be considered the “off season” for the drum corps activity, but these days World Class Corps are hosting monthly winter audition camps, Senior Corps in our region are either off or preparing for the Bugler’s Hall of Fame, and here in Arbella, we are caroling for the holidays!
The season is a great opportunity for us to get closer to our community with smaller, less formal performance groups. So far this holiday season we have marched in the Beverly Santa Parade on November 30th, Caroled at the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday event and welcomed Santa to Salem at the Common.
It’s a good time to welcome fellow band members from your schools/communities to sit in with Arbella. The holiday music we play is easy to site-read and fun to play. We also have a set of bells for any percussionists or color guard who would like to join in, so please feel free to invite friends to come along with us.
We have one more “booking” for December, on the 13th, outside of Henry’s Market on 1A in North Beverly from 9-11am. We will be joining Beverly Kiwanis President Rich Vincent and the Salvation Army for a little bell ringing and caroling. Please let me know if you can’t make it or are bringing a friend. Please have them wear red if they can if they join us. Santa/elf hats, christmas lights, bells are encouraged!
See you on the 13th!
